Vice President, Elder Abuse Prevention

Miles McNeeley, LCSW, is the Vice-President of Elder Abuse Prevention at WISE & Healthy Aging. He leads the Los Angeles County Adult Protective Services (APS) Center of Excellence, a training center and multidisciplinary team that serves older adults and adults with disabilities experiencing abuse and mistreatment.

Additionally, Miles oversees the Holistic Elder Abuse Response Team (HEART), a client-centered wraparound service consisting of case management, counseling, advocacy, and outreach for vulnerable adults experiencing abuse. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

Miles is a member of various elder abuse prevention workgroups and coalitions in Los Angeles County, including the Stop Scams Task Force. He presents on elder abuse prevention regularly at various events and conferences, including the National Adult Protective Services Association, American Geriatrics Society, and National Center of Victims of Crime annual meetings.

Before joining WISE, Miles managed the Community Engagement program at the Southern California Clinical & Translational Science Institute at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. For over 14 years he provided professional support to behavioral health research at USC and Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

He currently serves as a Boardmember for the Long Beach Board of Health & Human Services.  

Miles holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Social Work from Cal State Long Beach.
