Celebration of Caring Logo Web

More than 200 attendees gathered on June 7, 2014 at the Beverly Hilton to celebrate two honorees for their love of helping others (To see event photos, CLICK HERE) This special luncheon recognized and honored Dr. Linda Burnes Bolton and Patti Davis for the difference they are making in our community.  Linda Burnes Bolton, DrPH, RN, FAAN, is Vice President of Nursing, Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Nursing Research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Patti Davis, actress, author and the daughter of Nancy and the late President Ronald Reagan, is founder of the “Beyond Alzheimer’s” support group at the UCLA Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Program.  Journalist and executive producer Lisa Ling, of the Oprah Winfrey Network’s “Our America,” served as special guest emcee.
 
Dr. Burnes Bolton received the “Leadership in Caring” award, and Ms. Davis received the “Legacy of Caring” award.
 
With more than four decades of serving seniors and their families throughout Los Angeles County, WISE & Healthy Aging was proud to also introduce its WISE Caregiver Training Academy to address the growing need for quality training of family and professional caregivers for the elderly.
