Elder Abuse Prevention Program Manager
As the Manager of the Elder Abuse Prevention Program, Vince M. Okada plans and prepares educational workshops and presentations including Senior Action Fairs and oversees aspects of the Seniors Against Investment Fraud (SAIF) program. He also assists in the coordination of the Los Angeles County Fiduciary Abuse Specialists Team (FAST). Before joining WISE & Healthy Aging, Mr. Okada worked as a program and event coordinator in Florida and California. While working for a marketing and event planning agency in Torrance, he supported Japanese clients in their marketing efforts in the United States.Mr. Okada holds a master’s degree in international public policy and management from the University of Southern California. He served as a Vice President of the International Public Policy and Management (IPPAM) Program Student Senate. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in commercial recreation and planning from Montclair State University in New Jersey. In 2006, he was selected as a fellow at the Asia Pacific Leadership Fellowship Program at the East-West Center in Hawaii.
