WISE & Healthy Aging is seeking a candidate for a full-time Accounts Payable Administrator.
Position Description:
The accounts payable administrator is responsible for accounts payable and other accounting functions as assigned including but not limited to accounts receivables, general ledger, banking reconciliations and government contract billings and reports. Responsibilities include:
• Accounts Payable: Input and allocate computer check requests. Set-up new vendors/accounts as needed.
• Maintain 1099 and process at the end of the year.
• Prepare bank deposit on daily basis.
• Post cash receipts to general ledger daily
• Assist with preparation of journal entries, monthly status reports and closings
• Prepare and submit government-mandated reports (workers compensation /disability certifications)
• Monitor benefits allocations for employee benefits
• Analyze accounting records
• Assist in balancing accounts by running tapes, proofreading, etc.
• File and maintain clerical records and reports pertinent to accounting and bookkeeping or technical operations. Alphabetizes and files all invoices and check copies by vendor name
• Prepares account receivables
• Audit ledgers for accuracy and assists in the preparation of ad-hoc requests for account analysis
• Review all financial documents for accuracy and resolve any accounting discrepancies, inconsistencies, and errors in an accurate and timely manner to the supervisor
• May assist with indirect cost allocation reports for funding sources and
government reports
• Comply with all deadlines, including bill payment and other financial deadlines
• Follow established policies and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
• Attend all meetings and/or training related to the maintenance/revision of systems as needed
• Assist in the preparation for and in the conduct of internal and external audits
• Ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.
Due to changing program demands, funding source expectations and/or changes in agency policy, as assigned, all staff may be expected to perform other duties.
Position Requirements:
BA in Accounting preferred. Minimum three to fives years experience in accounting, nonprofit accounting preferred. Must demonstrate an understanding of current nonprofit fiscal best practices including indirect cost allocation and cash match methods. Knowledge of fund accounting software and working knowledge of Excel and Outlook. ADP knowledge preferred. Aptitude for detail and highly organized, 10-key by touch.

Position: Elder Abuse Prevention Program Manager
Program: Elder Abuse Prevention Program
Location: Santa Monica based with Los Angeles County travel required
Position Description:
This position is responsible for the oversight and administration of the elder abuse prevention program throughout the city and county of Los Angeles. This includes the development and coordination of elder abuse prevention fairs, trainings, workshops, and, materials for consumers and professionals, and the development of an elder abuse awareness campaign. This position is responsible for coordinating the Fiduciary Abuse Specialist Team (FAST) by planning, organizing and co-chairing FAST meetings, as well as recruiting and retaining FAST consultants. Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating education and training programs developed and conducted for FAST members and others in the elder abuse intervention network.
Position Requirements:
Master's degree required in a related field, JD preferred. Candidate must have four years experience working with older adults. Experience in program implementation, coordination, and evaluation is required. Additionally, experience in advocacy, group facilitation, knowledge of community resources, and excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Administrative and supervisory experience and knowledge of the elder abuse intervention network preferred.

Position: Activity Leader
Program: Adult Day Services Center
Location: Santa Monica
Position Description:
The person in this position will ensure the overall safety, security and wellness of Adult Day Service participants in compliance with funding sources, laws and applicable regulations. They will participate in individualized care planning process for clients. Participates in team development of activity schedules for clients. Plans, prepares and implements program activities as assigned. Works to involve all clients in the total program to the extent they are capable. Escorts and assists clients to the bathroom.
When necessary provides hygienic care and clothing change. Assists with clients’ safe arrivals and departures from the center. Assists with meal and snack preparation; provides clients with any needed assistance; monitors for general appetite and safety. Provides clients with adequate fluids to maintain hydration. Monitors, reports and documents changes observed in participants’ health, behavior, hygiene and program participation.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma or GED; Some college preferred and a minimum of one (1) year experience working in the field of Social Services or Geriatric Care. Certified Nurse’s Assistant Certificate (CNA) required. Experience in working with the elderly, disabled or other at-risk populations.
