Monika White, PhD, MSW
Monika White became Executive Vice President of External Affairs & Program Innovation for WISE & Healthy Aging when the organization was created in November 2007 by the merger of WISE Senior Services and Center for Healthy Aging.Prior to the merger, Dr. White had served as President/CEO of the Center for Healthy Aging since 1995.
In addition to working at WISE & Healthy Aging, she is also adjunct faculty at the USC Schools of Generontology and Social Work in Los Angeles. She has worked in the aging field since the mid-1970s and is an experienced practitioner, educator, researcher, author, lecturer and administrator.
Dr. White has focused her work on community-based service delivery systems and is a leading authority on care management, eldercare services and healthy aging, and consults nationally and internationally.
In her new role, Dr. White is responsible for external relationships with networks of aging and health care professionals, public and private services developers and funders and academic and community programs. She explores opportunities for expansion of existing programs, introduces and assists in developing new services and established partnerships and working relationships with other entities.
Dr. White hold a bachelor's degree in English from California State University, a master’s in Social work from the University of Southern California, and a doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California.
