Ann Hammond, MA, MPA
Ann Hammond joined WISE Senior Services in May 2001 as Activity Director at the Adult Day Service Center, and in 2003, she became Assistant Director at the Center. In April 2006, she was appointed the Program Director for Volunteer Services/RSVP. In this role, Ms. Hammond is responsible for managing volunteer services and overseeing the federally funded RSVP project (formerly known as the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) for the Westside.
Her duties include overseeing the volunteer programs that WISE & Healthy Aging sponsors; recruiting, training and supervising volunteers; monitoring staff and volunteer performance; developing financial resources to support the program; preparing the annual budget and grant applications; and fulfilling all reporting functions required by funders and the corporation for National and Community Service. She also manages the volunteer referral process through RSVP for 50 nonprofits throughout the Westside.
Ann holds a bachelor’s degree in behavioral psychology from Denison University in Granville, OH; a master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology and a master’s of public administration degree in health policy and administration, both from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She holds a third master’s degree in international communications from American University, Washington, DC.
