Frances “Frankie” Aggers


Ms. Aggers oversees the day programs provided by WISE & Healthy Aging, including the Adult Day Service Center, Nutrition Program and the Transportation and Mobility Program.

The Adult Day Service Center is a modern, specially-designed building licensed for 60 participants. Ms. Aggers and her trained staff provide programming tailored to the needs of each participant. Ms. Aggers is a facilitator at the support groups for those caring for someone with memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s.

The Nutrition Program provides “Healthy Lunches” to adults 60 or older at 5 sites in Santa Monica with site associates trained in serving the congregate meals.

Transportation and Mobility Program registers Santa Monica riders 60 and older for the Santa Monica Dial-A-Ride Program. Other services provided are outreach and education including driver safety classes, driver simulation, pedestrian safety and orientation to all of the transportation services available such as the Big Blue Bus and Metro.

With over 25 years of experience, her expertise in the field of geriatrics includes working as both a director of social services and head of patient relations prior to coming to WISE & Healthy Aging. Ms. Aggers has also worked in long-term care facilities and knows the value of adult day care as an important component in the continuum of care for the elderly hoping to remain in their homes as long as possible. She was with the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program for three years prior to taking on the leading role at the Adult Day Service Center.

Ms. Aggers knows firsthand the importance of promoting, assessing and identifying the needs of clients. An accomplished social worker and director who is well-respected by staff, clients, family and caregivers, she is skilled in listening, mediation and conflict resolution as well as empowering and managing staff to be at their best.
