Holly Kiger, RN, MSN
During her 38-year nursing career, Ms. Kiger has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, schools of nursing, public health facilities and community based organizations. For the last 20 years at Center for Healthy Aging, she has focused on developing and implementing specialized physical and mental health programs designed to serve the needs of older adult and multicultural communities. Ms. Kiger has administrative oversight in the areas of peer counseling, information and referral, care management, health clinic services and adult day services.
In addition, she provides staff and volunteer trainings, organizational consultations, and community based educational seminars. Her work has positively affected health care nationally through her many conference presentations, published articles, and advocacy efforts.
Ms. Kiger holds a master’s degree in Community Mental Health Nursing from UCLA School of Nursing and recently completed a two-year Health Care Leadership Fellowship from UCSF. She received the Mission Delivery Award from the Los Angeles division of the American Cancer Society in 2002 and was nominated for the national H.O.P.E. award from the American Journal of Health Promotion She was a recent finalist for the California NurseWeek Community Service award in September, 2007.
