How Your Scholarship Helps
For Mary W. and her caregiver daughter, Turusew W., the generosity of a sponsor makes life possible.
Immigrants from Ethiopia, Turusew is the sole source of support for her family. When Mary as diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2001 and then suffered several strokes, Turusew's ability to care for her and still work was threatened. Mary was accepted as a client in our Adult Day Services Program. She is cared for at the Adult Day Center from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Turusew attends the caregiver support groups we offer to meet with others facing the challenges of caring for an older adult in their homes. Your gift can help us ensure that others like Mary are safe and happy during the day.
